David's first birthday

Well, he's one. Officially. Seems like yesterday we were just leaving the hospital with our third little baby boy. Again...time flies.

Because of some scheduling issues, David got to have two parties. The first was just with Jennie's family and the second was with my family and 1/2 of Jennie's family. He disliked the cake at both.

And when I say he disliked it, I mean, he really disliked it. At the first party, we served cupcakes. At the second, we served his birthday cake. He seemed to warm up to the birthday cake after his cousins all took turns sticking their fingers in the cake and then putting their fingers in his mouth.

Like his brothers' parties before his, it was a low key, short and sweet affair. But everyone had fun, got to catch up and it gave us a chance for some good photo opps.
