Quail Hunt

Tucker and I went to Pop-I's farm to do a little quail hunting with Pop-I, Uncle Tom, Emmett, and Mac this afternoon. For those of you who have never been on a quail hunt, I compare it to golf. You can go out one day, hit a bunch of fairways, make a bunch of putts and shoot in the 70s. You can go out the next day and under the same conditions, on the same course, with the same clubs, shoot 95...for no reason. We shot 95 today. The weather was good...cold and brisk with a good breeze...and the dogs looked great, but the birds were uncooperative and we were outsmarted again. We had several points, but they were all false. Because Tucker is just not quite old enough to be able to keep up, he and I rode the Gator while the rest of the group walked...most of the time. After the "Sailor Man" took us to all the sweet spots where he thought we had the best chances to find birds, we resorted to shooting bb guns up by the barn until we were all too cold. Even when we don't find birds, it is always a fun time up at the farm. Not really any good pictures, but I attached this one of Emmett and Tucker with their eyes closed just to have one.

Check back on Thursday when we will hopefully post what the sex of our next baby will be!!!

Thanks for the reminder about Thursday. Cannot wait to hear whether it's a boy or a girl! :)
