The Fair

As most of you know, once a year a giant festival decends on Dothan, AL.  With it comes pageants, a parade, a fair, great music and most importantly, corn dogs.  People come from all over to go to the fair and everyone has to get a corn dog from the one and only Corn Dog Man.  Jennie and I are very fortunate in that her parents still love the fair and buy us tickets every year so they can go with us.  Of course, this suits us just fine in two different arenas.  Its nice to not have to buy tickets or ride tickets, but it is also nice to have two extra sets of hands and legs for carrying, pushing and chasing kids.

This year's fair is the first for David obviously, but it is also the first real one for Houston.  Last year, we took him, but he was bundled up the whole time and probably only ate a little piece of corn dog.  This year, much different.  He rode rides, ate a whole (almost) corn dog and was wanting to get out and go at all times.

It was the best year for Tucker because he was a lot more independent and rode a lot of rides without mom or dad.  It also helped that we ran into Gray and Abbie and he got to ride rides with them for a little while.

We logged in just over 3 hours and still didn't get to do everything.  We were right at the breaking point too. I don't think David had another 5 minutes in him.  I am sure next year will be much more fun/active.  Let's just hope Gigi and Poppa are still up for it.
