On the 4th, we went to the Koka Booth amphitheater in Cary, NC where the North Carolina Symphony played. Thousands of people set up blankets and tailgate chairs, pack coolers of food and just hang out. It was packed. The symphony was nice and the boys did really well. However, when the fireworks started, Tucker was not pleased at all. They were real loud and he wasn't paying attention. It scared him and he couldn't really recover. Houston was sitting on my shoulders and he didn't seemed to be phased at all. It was a really neat show.
The next morning, Jennie and I packed up and got ready to get on the road. We had to make Tucker stop playing Xbox just to say goodbye. So, we weren't worried about leaving him at all. We loaded up and made the long treck back to Dothan. Houston did great on the way home by himself. He loves to wear the headphones for the DVD player and didn't fuss one time. It was a great trip.
For Tucker, the fun was just beginning. Over the next week, he got to go see a real battleship, got to go to Myrtle Beach, went RideMakerz where he built his own toy car, went to see Ice Age III and play all the Xbox he could handle. He got to do so much and was so tired, it wasn't a struggle to get him to come home. I think he was ready to get home and get in his bed.
