He's here!!!

David Gaston Lee
8 lbs 1oz
21 inches
1:16am

After arriving at the hospital at 9:45pm last night, in pretty significant pain, Jennie gave birth to our third son at 1:16am. Jennie did absolutely fantastic during labor again and was up around walking at around 4am. This is a picture of her 30 minutes after delivery.

After a few minutes of screaming, David calmed down and seemed to be struggling just a little bit to breathe. The nurses were quick to react and wanted to put him on some oxygen to make sure he could get his lungs fully expanded. It turns out, he has a very small pneumothorax (google it) possibly on both sides of his chest cavity. It is not big enough to warrant a chest tube and the doctors seem to think it will go away on its on. So, right now, we are playing the waiting game to see what happens. More to come later on that. I will post more when I have more time and can get into more detail about everything. Here are some more pictures. To the left is Jennie giving him a kiss when he is headed to be further evaluated for his breathing.
The one below is when he was about 5 minutes old and was starting to really get his color. When he was born, he was purple. Literally...purple.
